My Experience With Mamaearth Rice Water Shampoo And Conditioner

I purchased this combo back in May 2021 once I recovered from Covid because I was looking for a good shampoo to control my frizz, nourish & moisturize my hair and also help with my hairfall ( atleast reduce the in-shower hairfall). I had high hopes on this combo because it contains Rice Water & Keratin which are great ingredients that help in nourishing dry rough hair.

Mamaearth Rice Water Shampoo And Conditioner

The Mamaearth Rice Water Shampoo And Conditioner come in convenient pump packaging which is sturdy & pretty functional. They are free from SLS & parabens, so if you prefer products free from these then Mamaearth haircare range should fit your needs. These contain keratin, wheat protein & rice water which are great in smoothening hair and reducing frizz. They do have a mild fragrance which is not overwhelming.

The Mamaearth Rice Water Shampoo has a transparent, thick texture which feels more like a clarifying shampoo. It lathers good, cleanses my scalp thoroughly and leaves my hair fresh, clean & soft! It's a pretty gentle shampoo so when I oil my hair (hot oil massage) I need to shampoo my hair twice & otherwise just once. It also helps clean off the dandruff from my scalp (I also use other anti-dandruff products to keep it under control) - so I don't really require a specific anti-dandruff shampoo. This shampoo worked amazingly well for me in summers but now in winter this doesn't help in hydrating my hair enough! It's a great choice for summers though, keeps my hair fresh for straight three days! For someone with oily scalp this is great deal.

The Mamaearth Rice Water Conditioner is a thick creamy conditioner which spreads well & quickly nourishes my hair. Hair feels so soft, smooth, manageable & frizz-free!! Again this one also works well in nourishing my hair during summers but is not just enough for winters. My hair feels a bit dry\rough in this weather.

My big concern with this or any haircare range from Mamaearth is that they come only in this one size (250 ml). 100 ml bottles would have been great because we would be able to test & go for the bigger pack if required. This kind of forces us consumers to pick a bigger bottle and use it however!

Claims by brand & my verdict:
Repairs damage - YES
Reduces split ends - Not exactly but does smoothen them
Prevents Hair Breakage - YES

Nourishes & Conditions Hair - YES in Summers || NOT SO MUCH in Winters

So these work wonderfully well for me in summers but failed to impress me in winters. I picked up this combo to reduce the frizziness and it works perfectly well in that department!

Rating: 4 out of 5

Will I Repurchase? : Maybe next year around summer

Have you used Mamaearth products? If you have, do you have any favourites from the brand?
This was my first experience with their products and although I don't like their policy, bots etc the product did work decent for me 😊
